Trump says that he created 600,000 jobs. False…

President Trump claims that it contributed to the creation of 600,000 jobs. This is a false statement.

"We have created more than 600 000 jobs already in a very short period of time", - he said Tuesday at the White House Trump, surrounded by his top advisers and heads of the companies included in its Advisory Council.

He repeated this statement later in the press conference: "We have already created more than 600 000 jobs." Official government data do not support this statement.

According to CNNMoney's Trump Jobs Tracker, since taking office Trump 317,000 workers were created. The President is trying to double that number.

The final authority in determining how many jobs created (or lost) each month, is the United States Department of Labor. The number of 317 000 includes data about how many jobs were created in February (figure was revised from 214,000 to 219,000) and in March (98,000).

A White House spokesman said that Trump still includes all the jobs created in January (216,000). Trump was in the position of just 11.5 days in that month.

But even if we give it all the jobs in January, it would still only lead to 533,000 jobs created so far in 2017. Simple math shows that the data is not entirely consistent with the stated 600 000. The

ongoing debate about whether the president generally take credit for creating jobs. Most of the hiring by the private sector.

"Comments on the president, reflecting the economic history of the administration, just show growing optimism about its policies and prospects of development of the country", - said the representative of CNNMoney White House.

Trump vs Obama

The bottom line is this: yes, business and consumer optimism has increased since winning Trump elections. This is probably a factor in making some hiring decisions. But the reality is that the economy has created an average of 178,000 jobs per month this year. It is very close, and even slightly lower than the average of last year (187,000 per month), when President Obama was in office.
